JioStar, the joint venture of Viacom18 and Star India, has launched JioHotstar, merging JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar into a single streaming platform. Here’s what users can expect from the new service:Current subscribers of JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar can move to JioHotstar without disruption. Their subscriptions will carry over automatically, the company said.JioHotstar offers subscription plans starting at ₹149, catering to different audience segments. The platform brings together 3 lakh hours of entertainment, live sports, and content in 19 languages.JioHotstar will host premium Hollywood content from Disney, NBCUniversal’s Peacock, Warner Bros. Discovery (HBO), and Paramount. Users can access a blend of international hits and local favourites under one roof.Sports fans will enjoy coverage of major events, including the IPL, WPL, ICC tournaments, and domestic leagues like Pro Kabaddi and ISL.
