Other Fox Sports channels will become Kayo Sports channels.Kayo Sports was first launched in late 2018 as a sports streaming service.DAZN said the change “combines Fox Sports’ three decades of authority, trusted journalism, world-class production and iconic sporting voices with Kayo Sports’ digital reach, fan connection and market-leading streaming experience.”The announcement was made at DAZN Media+ Upfront, held at The Cutaway in Barangaroo, Sydney.It was also announced that MotoGP will stay into the next decade, staving off a bid by Stan Sport for the rights.Kayo Sports is home to Formula 1, Supercars, NASCAR and GT World Challenge, among other motorsport properties. It is also home to weekly show Motor Racing 360.Foxtel Group executive director commercial, sport Adam Howarth hailed the changes.“Our $1 billion annual investment in sports rights and production is what enables us to bring Australians an unrivalled breadth and depth of sport, while also delivering value well beyond the screen through grassroots sport, community programs and pathways for the next generation,” he said.“In 2027, Kayo Sports will bring fans an extraordinary line-up of live sport, with more of the biggest competitions, teams and moments Australians love, all in one place.“The scale of that offering, combined with the quality of the viewing experience and world-class production from Fox Sports, is what defines the value of Kayo Sports.“It’s a proposition that is uniquely Australian, but now backed by the global reach, expertise and ambition of DAZN.”Fox Sports managing director Steve Crawley added: “We continue to set the standard for sports broadcasting at Kayo Sports and, in 2027, will be raising the bar even higher through an unmatched offering of more than 50 sports, best in class production, and the most experienced and entertaining line up of talent in the industry.“Fans turn to us for the best coverage of the sports they love. With the support of DAZN now behind us, Kayo Sports is only going to grow and grow and grow into a sports media powerhouse.”Kayo Sports is owned by DAZN, which acquired it in 2025. As part of that deal, DAZN also owns subscription television service Foxtel and entertainment streaming service Binge.During Thursday’s event, DAZN announced a “new creator-powered sports media ecosystem” dubbed Club Kayo.There will be four creator teams: Club Kayo Cricket, Club Kayo AFL, Club Kayo NRL and Club Kayo Motorsport.Club Kayo will bring creators into the Kayo Sports ecosystem, giving them rights, vision and broadcast access that they can react to.Club Kayo will essentially allow brands to integrate with content creators across the four major pillars and build a consistent presence in sports culture, beyond live events.DAZN said that 81 percent of fans surveyed in its global study wanted to feel part of the sport beyond spectating, while 67 percent saw creators as a critical part of sports culture.“Club Kayo brings together an unrivalled network of creators and their communities to help shape Australian sports fandom, giving them a sustained role alongside the sports they are passionate about,” said Ted Helliar, Kayo Sport and Fox Sports director of engagement, community and fandom.“Through dedicated teams and repeatable formats, creators can build deeper connections with fans across the season, while tapping into the sporting moments, expertise and platform environment of Kayo Sports.“It is designed to give their communities more reasons to come together, contribute and stay connected to the codes they love.”Club Kayo will take an always on approach, rather than engaging creators for one-off campaigns.
