Republic of Ireland coaches extend contracts
Republic of Ireland coaches John O'Shea, Paddy McCarthy and Gudmundur Hreidarsson have extended their contracts until 2028.The trio have agreed to remain in place following head coach Heimir Hallgrimsson's contract extension earlier this year until the end of the qualifying cycle for Euro 2028, which will be staged in the UK and Ireland.AdvertisementMcCarthy will continue to combine his national side role with his coaching duties at Crystal Palace."Since I arrived, John, Paddy, and Gummi have been an incredible support to me and integral to everything we are building here," said Hallgrimsson."Their knowledge of the players and the Irish game is invaluable.
