AFL Team Selection: Showdown 60

Adelaide has made two changes ahead of Showdown 60 this Saturday night.

Defender Josh Worrell and wing Isaac Cumming return to the line-up to face Port Adelaide after overcoming a virus and an injury, respectively.

Cumming injured his hamstring at training earlier this month, while Worrell missed last weekend’s win against Melbourne due to illness.

“Josh comes back after missing against Melbourne due to a virus,” Executive General Manager Football Adam Kelly said.

“Over the past couple of seasons Josh has proven himself as one of the competition’s leading interceptors, getting it done in the air or on the ground. We love his competitiveness and will to fight in every contest.

“Isaac returns after missing the past four games due to injury.

“As one of our player leaders, he brings great energy to our group and experience. We welcome back his run and ball use with full trust in his ability to execute his role for the team.”

Backman Wayne Milera will miss the game due to hamstring tightness.

“Wayne reported hamstring tightness post yesterday’s (Wednesday’s) training session and subsequent scans have confirmed that he has a minor hamstring strain,” Kelly said.

“We are yet to determine expected return to play timelines but can confirm it is a minor strain.”

Nick Murray has been omitted, and has been named on the emergency list alongside Billy Dowling and Finnbar Maley.

Adelaide faces Port Adelaide in Showdown 60 at Adelaide Oval at 7.05pm.

The match will be broadcast live on Channel 7, Fox Footy and Kayo.

Showdown 60 is a Port Adelaide home game, meaning Crows Memberships will not give fans access into the game.

The match will follow the SANFL Showdown between the two clubs, with that match kicking off at Adelaide Oval at 3.10pm.
