Noah Okafor Under Attacker After Complaining About National Team Snub

Leeds United of England’s Nigerian-born striker, Noah Okafor has come under verbal attack after he complained about being deliberately overlooked by Switzerland’s coach, Murat Yakin, Sports247 reports.

In contrast with what was apparently Okafor’s expectations of positive emotions and favourable reactions coming his way over his complaint, a director in Switzerland’s football federation has slammed the former AC Milan of Italy striker.

The report out of Zurich revealed that the top official faulted Okafor for complaining about ‘lack of communication’ by Yakin.

Okafor said he had not heard from Yakin for over a year and that he hasn’t received a call from the federation’s sports director, Tami.

However, rather than apologise, Tami went public to declare that Yakin has his full support in leaving Okafor out of his latest squad.

Tami declared, “The decision by Murat is the right one. Noah is just getting started again, but it’s not the right time to experiment. We can easily use his qualities. But I expect him to be patient and humble.”
