Clubs in the Saudi Pro League are reportedly waiting on Mohamed Salah to make a decision over his Liverpool future. This comes after the attacker made the statement over his unresolved contract situation, stating he was disappointed he is yet to receive a formal offer from the Reds.

In the short turnaround between jubilation of a comeback victory against Southampton and a major Champions League clash with Real Madrid, Salah's name has dominated the headlines. The 32-year-old, who is out of contract come the season's end, explained where the land lies in his negotiations with a bombshell revelation.

"Well, we are almost in December and I haven't received any offers yet to stay in the club, [so] I'm probably more out than in," he conceded. "Of course [no offer is disappointing], yeah."

"I'm just trying to enjoy my football and I will play at the top level as long as possible. I'm just doing my best because this is who I am and I try to give it all for myself and for the club. We will see what happens next."

Amidst this ongoing situation, certain rumours have emerged claiming where the Egyptian could be playing his football from next season onwards, if not Liverpool.

Saudi Arabia is perhaps the most talked about destination, considering in 2023 a £150m bid from Al-Ittihad on summer transfer deadline day was turned down.

With whispers from the Gulf state persisting, the latest report from Sky Sports claims that this interest has regressed now and Saudi Pro League clubs are not actively attempting to sign the Reds' No.11.

However, it is warned there are still clubs from the league who want him. The difference now is if they are to make a fresh move, the first step would have to be the player and his representatives indicating he desires the transfer.

From Salah's rare interview on Sunday, it would suggest he is far away from this feeling and primarily desires the offer of renewed terms from his current club.

"You know I have been in the club for many years. There is no club like this," he also said. "But in the end it is not in my hands. As I said before, it is December and I haven't received anything yet about my future.

"I love the fans. The fans love me. In the end it is not in my hands or the fans' hands. Let's wait and see.

"I'm not going to retire soon so I'm just playing, focusing on the season and I'm trying to win the Premier League and hopefully the Champions League as well."
