ICC Player of the Month nominees for July 2026

West Indies all-rounder Justin Greaves, England white-ball captain Harry Brook and Bangladesh batter Tanzid Hasan have been nominated for the ICC Player of the Month award for July 2026.

Greaves demonstrated exceptional performances for the West Indies, excelling with both bat and ball. He scored 180 runs in the first Test against Sri Lanka in North Sound, helping West Indies build a strong reply and draw the Test, ultimately securing the series 1-0.

Later in the month, Greaves delivered a remarkable bowling performance against Pakistan in Tarouba, taking 5/27 in the first innings, including five consecutive maidens, and 2/12 in the second innings to help West Indies win the Test. For the month, he accumulated 215 runs at an average of 71.66 across two Tests and took eight wickets at an average of 10.25. He also appeared in two ODIs against New Zealand, scoring 32 runs with a strike rate of 114.28.

England skipper Harry Brook had a successful July, playing a pivotal role in England’s white-ball series victories against India. Although he managed 31 runs across three ODIs, he excelled in the T20I series, scoring 229 runs in five matches at an average of 114.50 and a strike rate of 214.01.

Under Brook’s captaincy and aggressive batting, England won both the ODI and T20I series against India. His notable performances included unbeaten scores of 79 and 95 in the fourth and fifth T20Is respectively, leading to comprehensive victories. He was awarded Player of the Series for being the leading run-scorer with 229 runs in the T20Is.

Bangladesh opener Tanzid Hasan was one of his team’s most consistent batters during the white-ball series against Zimbabwe, ending July as the leading run-scorer across both formats. In the ODI series, he recorded 159 runs in three matches at an average of 53.00 and a strike rate of 89.83, including two fifties and a highest score of 94.

Tanzid maintained his form in the T20I series, adding 140 runs at an average of 70.00 and a strike rate of 127.27, including two half-centuries. His steady batting was crucial for Bangladesh’s performance in both formats, finishing as the top run-scorer in the ODI and T20I series against Zimbabwe.
