The summer transfer window is heating up as Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham all work on deals to bolster their respective squads ahead of the new Premier League season. Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Christos Tzolis and are set to make a £70million bid for Bruno Guimaraes after agreeing personal terms with the Newcastle captain.

The Gunners have also entered the race for Yan Diomande and are keen on Ezri Konsa, John Stones and Jacobo Ramon, amid ongoing links to the likes of Julian Alvarez, Bradley Barcola and Marcus Rashford. Man United have been boosted in their pursuit of Aurelien Tchouameni, with Real Madrid team-mate Eduardo Camavinga also on their midfield radar alongside Carlos Baleba, Manu Kone, Sander Berge, Danilo and Tyler Adams.

Chelsea want to land Kerim Alajbegovic and Alex Scott after welcoming Morgan Rogers,while Maxence Lacroix underwent a medical on Friday with a £52m switch from Crystal Palace agreed.Tottenham are eyeing Andreas Schjelderup and Rafael Leao as Cristian Romero prepares to exit, while Liverpool have moved for Maghnes Akliouche as they also target Barcola and Rayan. West Ham reject Diouf bid

West Ham have issued a not for sale warning to Brentford after rejecting their bid for El Hadji Malick Diouf.

Standard Sport understands that West Ham have no intention of selling the 21-year-old left-back after raising almost £150million through the sales of Mateus Fernandes and Crysencio Summerville.

It is unclear whether Brentford will come back in with another bid.

West Ham had been in need of player sales following their relegation to the Championship, but after negotiating sizeable fees for Fernandes and Summerville they are now determined to keep the bulk of their squad together.

Romero contact

Inter Milan have made contact with Cristian Romero’s camp.

Per reports in Italy, the Nerazzurri are prepared to offer around £34m for his services, with the player open to the move.

Romero’s agent has travelled to Milan in a bid to seal the deal.

Man Utd make Fernandes decision

To the surprise of very few, Manchester United are NOT looking to sell Bruno Fernandes this summer.

The Man United captain has entered the final 12 months of his contract at Old Trafford, though the club have the option to extend it by a further year, and was linked with a shock move to Galatasaray this week.

However, TEAMtalk are reporting that the attacking midfielder is staying put.

New Chelsea signing

Austin MacPhee has left Aston Villa, with reports suggesting he is set to join Chelsea.

The set-piece coach also has interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia.

Under his guidance, Villa scored 29 set-piece goals last season.

Arsenal and Liverpool get Diomande hope

Paris Saint-German's lack of progress regarding a deal for Yan Diomande may have opened the door for other interested parties.

The RB Leipzig winger is reported to have set his sights on a switch to the French and European champions this summer, with an agreement said to be in place over personal terms.

However, PSG are yet to make a formal bid of €120million (£102m) to meet Leipzig's valuation.

As per Bild, this development has given fresh hope to Arsenal, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Manchester City.

Chelsea to confirm Maxence Lacroix signing

Chelsea are close to completing a deal to sign Maxence Lacroix.

The Crystal Palace centre-back has undergone a medical in London ahead of a move that Standard Sport understands was expected to be finalised on Friday.

Chelsea will pay a fee of £52million to sign the defender, who has been away on international duty this summer competing in the World Cup for France.

Real Madrid work on Rodri deal

Rodri wants to leave Manchester City this summer, with Real Madrid preparing to lodge a bid.

The Spaniard is fresh off the back of a fine summer, in which he captained Spain to a second World Cup title and won the Golden Ball.

His performances at the tournament seem to have been impressive enough that they have lured Real into the transfer market.

As per The Athletic, the LaLiga side are confident an agreement can be struck for the 30-year-old.

Arsenal consider Alvarez swap deal

Arsenal are considering using Viktor Gyokeres in a swap deal for Julian Alvarez.

The Argentine striker is in high demand this summer despite Atletico Madrid being adamant they will not sell, but the Gunners may have a trick up their sleeve.

Per a report in The Times, Arsenal are prepared to offer Gyokeres as part of a player-plus-cash move for Alvarez.

The Swede joined Arsenal last summer and scored 21 goals in 55 appearances across all competitions in his debut campaign, helping the Gunners clinch the Premier League title.
