Murray reveals one position Hurzeler might want to strengthen on deadline day

Glenn Murray believes Fabian Hurzeler will be "pretty happy" with his Albion squad when injuries clear up.

But the former striker believes there is "maybe" room for a new deep-lying midfielder.

Albion are on the trail of Millwall wideman Femi Azeez going into transfer deadline day.

They recently sold Carlos Baleba to Manchester United having seen James Milner retire at the end of last season.

Hurzeler has spoken of Yasin Ayari as an option deeper in midfield and had Olivier Boscagli patrolling ahead of the back four at Chelsea on Sunday.

Malick Yalcouye has generally played as a No.6 but impressed in a role further forward at Stamford Bridge, where he scored on his first Premier League start.

Murray was on commentary duties for BBC Radio 5 Live at that game and told listeners: "I suppose if you want injuries, it's now so he can go to his board and say, 'I need more players'.

"They are unforeseen things that happen in football.

"But I think when he gets a good look at it, when everyone is fit, he will be pretty happy.

"Maybe another No.6 with Baleba going out late is a possibility.

"They have obviously brought Promise David in as that extra striker, that different type.

"But they have spent quite a lot of money this summer."
