Report: Evan Ferguson Offered To Serie A Clubs Ahead Of Possible Sale

With the summer transfer window now in full swing, it will be interesting to see what develops in relation to Evan Ferguson over the coming weeks.

The Irishman's future seems very much up in the air at the moment. Brighton have cleared room in forward areas after the departure of Joao Pedro to Chelsea, but it remains to be seen if Ferguson features in their plans for next season.

Manager Fabian Hurzeler was hesitant to use the 20-year old last season, severely limiting his game time before sending him on loan to West Ham for the second half of the campaign.

While it was previously thought that another loan move could be in the offing this summer, recent reports have suggested that Brighton would be open to selling the player at a knockdown price.

Evan Ferguson Reportedly Offered To Serie A Giants

It seems that moves are being made behind the scenes to find Evan Ferguson a new club, with new reports suggesting that a transfer to Italy is a possibility.

Relevo are reporting that the Ireland striker has been offered to both Roma and Atalanta ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Roma are in the market for a new striker, with the club said to be looking for a young forward to bolster their squad. Atalanta's plans are a little less clear, although they will likely dip into the market if star striker Mateo Retegui moves elsewhere.

A move to Serie A would certainly be an intriguing one for Evan Ferguson, with the possibility of playing for one of Italy's biggest clubs likely to appeal to him. Atalanta can also offer Champions League football next season, while Roma will take part in the Europa League.

With the likes of Nottingham Forest and Everton also linked with the player, it will be interesting to see how the situation develops over the coming weeks.
