New Zealand recall Milne and Bracewell for India T20 series

New Zealand's cricket team has included fast bowler Adam Milne and spin-bowling all-rounder Michael Bracewell in the squad for the home Twenty20 series against India. The 16-player squad will play the first match of the series on October 22 in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Returns after injuries

Milne and Bracewell missed this year's T20 World Cup due to injuries. At the same time, 13 players from the New Zealand team that finished runners-up in the tournament after losing to India in the final retained their places in the squad. Opening batters Tim Seifert and Finn Allen are set to reunite for the first time since New Zealand's appearance in the T20 World Cup final. Fast bowler Ben Sears was unavailable for selection as he continues to recover from an ankle injury.

Ravindra to miss T20 series

Rachin Ravindra will not play in the Twenty20 matches after dislocating his right shoulder last week during a promotional shoot. He is expected to return to the team for the one-day international series.

Coach Rob Walter said the team has sufficient squad depth and plans to use all 16 players throughout the series while managing workloads. After five T20 matches, New Zealand and India will play five one-day matches and two Test matches.
