Manuel Ugarte has been of strong transfer interest to Galatasaray, according to Sky Sports Germany's Florian Plettenberg.

The Uruguayan is expected to depart Manchester United this summer with a number of Serie A sides interested.

However, he could have moved to Turkiye nearly 12 months ago as he was a very concrete topic at Galatasaray with talks taking place. A move never materialised, though.

It remains to be seen if the Turkish giants will be interested in signing Ugarte ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Darts star Luke Littler, who is also a Manchester United fan, has told Aurelien Tchouameni to make the move to Old Trafford to be Casemiro's replacement.

In quotes provided by SportsBoom, the darts world champion also backed Michael Carrick to become permanent head coach despite addressing fears he may be another Ole Gunnar Solskjær.

Littler also discussed transfers and made reference to the Real Madrid training ground incidents which was followed up by a plea to Tchouameni.

He said: “I'm sure you've seen some scrapping going on in Real Madrid and we're interested in Tchouameni. Come on Tchouameni, come on, replace Casemiro for that defence midfielder spot."

Manchester United have opted to focus on other priorities over a summer move for Chelsea star Cole Palmer.

The England international had been linked with a transfer to Old Trafford but according to The Mirror, United chiefs have ruled out a summer switch as it is not one of their main focuses.

Last summer was very much about strengthening in attack but it is now midfield and defence that need additions.

That is despite the possible Palmer transfer opportunity with Chelsea unlikely to be in next season's Champions League, a competition that he made clear the Blues must be in.

Manchester United have also been linked to Real Madrid's Aurelien Tchouameni as he struggles for consistent minutes in Spain.

A dramatic turn of events has since emerged on his status at the club with reports of an altercation with Federico Valverde confirmed by a Real statement that confirmed the latter was taken to hospital.

Since then, Spanish newspaper AS have reported that Los Blancos have ‘opened the exit door' to the Frenchman.

It has been claimed that Real are firmly aware of the broken dressing room and are therefore looking to sell a few star players, with Tchouameni seemingly an option.

In addition to Sandro Tonali, Nottingham Forest star Elliot Anderson is another top midfield target for Manchester United.

The 23-year-old is also of interest to Manchester City and they are currently leading the race for his signature. Despite that, United have been handed a transfer boost with the chances of him remaining at Forest for next season dwindling significantly.

That is because Forest will not be playing Champions League football as they were knocked out of the Europa League semi-finals by Aston Villa on Thursday evening.

Murillo is another Forest player that has been linked to an Old Trafford switch and therefore the chances of him staying put have also decreased.

Sandro Tonali of Newcastle United is one of many midfielders linked with a transfer to Manchester United.

Juventus are also interested in signing him but the latest reports from Tuttomercatoweb suggest they cannot afford his €100million (£86m) asking price.

The report does state however, that United can and are already "readying an offer". Three midfielders are expected to be signed this summer with reports elsewhere stating that £150m has been allocated to those additions.
