Leeds United are starting to become very active in the transfer market.

Lukas Nmecha moved to Elland Road on a free transfer last Sunday after his contract with VfL Wolfsburg expired, providing Daniel Farke with another option in his attacking department.

Leeds have also now reached an agreement with Udinese over the signing of centre-back Jaka Bijol, shaking hands on a €22m (£18.7m) fee with the Serie A outfit as revealed by Fabrizio Romano.

Now, the Whites have swiftly moved on to their next target as a bid goes in for defensive midfielder Noah Sadiki.

Leeds United bid £8.5m to sign Noah Sadiki

Sacha Tavolieri now claims that Leeds have made a €10m (£8.5m) bid to sign the DR Congo international from Union Saint-Gilloise, after agreeing the deal for Bijol.

The respected Belgian journalist wrote on X (previously known as Twitter): “Leeds United are the first to make a move for Noah Sadiki!

“The Peacocks have made contact to gauge the intentions of Union Saint-Gilloise management, with an initial offer starting at €10m (£8.5m). OL (Lyon) haven’t forgotten about Noah Sadiki either.”

TBR Football understand there have also been discussions to sign an attacking midfielder too, as Leeds United hold talks over a deal for Emiliano Buendia.

Leeds United could sign their own Tanguy Ndombele

Tanguy Ndombele was one of Europe’s most coveted midfielders when Tottenham eventually coughed up £63m to sign the Frenchman from Lyon back in July 2019, so it should excite Leeds fans that Sadiki has been compared to the midfielder.

Data site FBREF show that Ndombele is the third-most similar player to the 20-year-old Leeds target in Europe, with Tottenham No.15 Lucas Bergvall the most similar.

Sadiki is also versatile, making seven appearances at right-back in his short career so far, as well as three at left-back and two in central defence.

Furthermore, the Brussels-born wonderkid made 55 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring two goals and providing six assists, playing 90 minutes more often than not, which speaks volumes about his maturity at the age of just 20.
