IPL 2025 Points Table, Orange Cap and Purple Cap after PBKS vs KKR: Shreyas Iyer-led Punjab Kings beat Rishabh Pant’s Lucknow Super Giants by 37 runs in the 54th league match of IPL 2025 played at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamsala. The Mohali-based franchise, after being invited to bat first by Pant, rode on Prabhsimran Singh’s third fifty in a row to post a total of 236 runs on the board for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs and then restricted the Super Giants for 199 for 7 in 20 overs.

The second win over LSG of the ongoing season helped PBKS rise to 2nd position in the points table. They have 15 points after 11 matches, whereas the Super Giants remain seventh with 10 points from 11 matches.

Orange Cap

Wicketkeeper-batter Prabhsimran Singh opened the innings for PBKS on Sunday and scored 91 runs from 48 balls with the help of six fours and seven sixes. The third fifty in a row helped the 24-year-old uncapped Indian batter extend his tally of runs to 437 runs in IPL 2025 and take seventh position in the list of leading run getters.

Apart from him, PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer also scored 45 runs from 25 balls, and it helped him become the ninth leading run-getter in IPL 2025. In 11 matches, the right-handed batter from Mumbai has amassed a total of 405 runs for the Punjab Kings.

For LSG, Nicholas Pooran and Mitchell Marsh scored 6 and 0 runs, respectively, from five balls each in Dharamsala, and they are eighth and 10th in the Orange Cap race with 410 and 378 runs, respectively, to their names.

Batting superstar Virat Kohli, with 505 runs to his name in 11 matches, is leading the Orange Cap race, and the RCB opener is followed by GT’s Sai Sudharsan (504), MI’s Suryakumar Yadav (475), RR’s Yashasvi Jaiswal (473) and GT’s Jos Buttler (470).

Purple Cap

Arshdeep Singh was on fire for the Shreyas Iyer-led side on Sunday at HPCA Stadium. The left-arm pacer dismissed LSG’s top three batters – Mitchell Marsh (0), Aiden Markram (13) and Nicholas Pooran (6) – inside the first five overs of the run chase and finished with figures of 3 for 16 in four overs. A memorable bowling show on Sunday in PBKS’ 11th league match helped Arshdeep rise to 3rd position in the list of leading wicket-takers in the IPL this year.

Yuzvendra Chahal is ninth in the Purple Cap race with 14 wickets to his name in 11 matches. He dismissed one LSG batter on Sunday in his quota of four overs.

For LSG, spinner Digvesh Rathi finished with figures of 2 for 46 in four overs, and with a total of 12 wickets to his name, he is 17th on the list of leading wicket-takers.
