"No one wants to play against them": Mumbai Indians called most dangerous franchise after four consecutive wins in IPL 2025

Mumbai Indians, renowned for slow starts in the Indian Premier League, have picked up speed in the 18th season of the tournament. The five-time champions have won four consecutive matches and five overall to reach 10 points and third place in the standings.

The senior players have started performing, with Jasprit Bumrah and Rohit Sharma at their best. The speedster missed a few games due to his rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy, and since his return to the playing XI, Mumbai’s attack has become lethal, with Trent Boult and Deepak Chahar returning to form.

The visiting team defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets in the most recent contest at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. Boult ( 3 wickets) and Chahar (2 wickets) were instrumental in keeping the home team to 143/8 in 20 overs. It required a brilliant effort from Heinrich Klaasen (71) and Abhinav Manohar (43) to give some respectability to the total.

However, it was not enough, as Rohit (70) and Suryakumar Yadav (40*) completed the chase in 15.4 overs. Former batter Ambati Rayudu thinks Mumbai has become the most dangerous side now, and the rival franchises will not want to face them.

“Mumbai Indians know how to win big matches and pressure moments. They know how to win playoffs. No one wants to play against them and they will be more powerful in the playoffs. Players are fitting into their roles perfectly,” Ambati Rayudu said on Star Sports after Mumbai’s fifth win.
