The winners of the FIFA World Cup 2026 final on Monday will not only lift football's most coveted trophy but also receive championship rings for the first time in the tournament's history.

In a first for any FIFA competition, the world champions will be presented with bespoke rings alongside the iconic World Cup trophy and gold medals after the final between Spain and Argentina at the New York-New Jersey Stadium.

The move brings one of the most recognisable traditions in American sport to football, with FIFA introducing the rings as a new symbol of achievement for the champions of the expanded 48-team World Cup.

A total of 2,026 individually numbered rings have been produced to commemorate the tournament, with 30 reserved for members of the winning team. The remaining 1,996 rings will be made available worldwide as an officially licensed product, allowing fans to own a piece of World Cup history.

One side of each ring features the FIFA World Cup trophy, while the other will be customised with the identity of the winning nation. Every ring will be individually numbered, custom-fitted, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Immediately after the final, the winning captain and head coach will each receive temporary rings during the celebrations.

The 30 rings for the champions will then be individually customised to ensure a perfect fit before being officially presented to the winners at a later date.
