Morgan Gibbs-White screams in Anthony Taylor’s face as THREE red cards shown in mad moment during Brighton vs Nottingham Forest

Morgan Gibbs-White, Fabian Hurzeler and Nuno Espirito Santo were all sent off as tempers boiled over in Brighton v Nottingham Forest.

With the score at 2-2 late in the second half, Gibbs-White was given a second yellow card for a reckless challenge on Joao Pedro.

Referee Rob Jones appeared to initially indicated that the Forest man had got the ball, drawing the shape of a football with his hands.

However, he later changed his mind, dishing out a second yellow card for the midfielder.

Gibbs-White was seen shouting in fourth official Anthony Taylor's face, pointing his finger at him.

However, the Tricky Trees talisman's complaints were to no avail.

The referee also sent off Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler and his Forest counterpart in the aftermaths.

The officials explained this was due to 'unacceptable technical area behaviour following the incident'.

Nuno was spotted raging at the referee, and he had also been seen fuming at Taylor, too.

His assistant Rui Pedro Silva, who was also booked, spoke to talkSPORT after the clash and said: "My perspective from the bench, I think the tackle from Morgan was a little bit speedy, but he touched the ball.

"So in that moment I didn't think it was a second yellow. I was behind, I didn't know what Anthony Taylor heard from the coaches to twice give a red card. For me it's not a second yellow.

"I understand they want to control the emotions on the bench, job done, the game is over."

Hurzeler's initial reaction to the tackle was not shown, but cameras did catch his face when he was also given a red.

The German's mouth dropped open in shock, with him shrugging his shoulders in disbelief.

Gibbs-White had initially picked up a booking on the hour mark after being deemed to pull down Georginio Rutter.

Sunday marked his second ever career red card, with his first coming for Sheffield United when he also picked up two bookings.

Forest had gone ahead at the AMEX courtesy of a Chris Wood penalty, but Brighton were ahead before the break, with Jack Hinshelwood netting before Danny Welbeck scored a glorious free kick.

Ramon Sosa ensured the points were shared though, bagging the equaliser in the 70th minute.

The Seagulls sit in seventh, with Forest sitting one place below them with only goal difference separating them.
