Arsenal are busy preparing for the return of Premier League football this weekend after the international break.

Saturday will see the Gunners face Nottingham Forest at the Emirates Stadium as they return to top flight action following the final two-week hiatus of the calendar year.

Mikel Arteta will be forced to prepare for the game against Forest with several members of his squad on the sidelines through injury.

Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice and Leandro Trossard are among the list of players who have emerged as injury concerns either just before or during the November international break.

Arteta will provide a full update on his squad's fitness when he speaks to the media in his pre-match press conference later this week at London Colney.

Bukayo Saka

Bukayo Saka suffered a knock during Arsenal's draw with Chelsea before the international break.

The injury forced Saka to be withdrawn from the England squad during the international break, but it remains to be seen if the Gunners No.7 will be available to face Forest this weekend.

"It doesn’t look good, because for two players of that importance to tell you they cannot continue in the game [versus Chelsea], obviously it’s not good news," said Arteta on November 10 when asked about Saka's injury.

Declan Rice

Declan Rice was also substituted during the draw with Chelsea after suffering from a broken toe in recent weeks.

Like Saka, Rice was also withdrawn from the England squad as a result of the injury.

"It doesn’t look good, because for two players of that importance to tell you they cannot continue in the game [versus Chelsea], obviously it’s not good news," said Arteta on November 10 when asked about Rice's injury.

Leandro Trossard

Leandro Trossard emerged as a potential injury concern for Arsenal during the international break.

Trossard was withdrawn with a possible knock during Belgium's 1-o defeat to Israel on Sunday night, and Arsenal now face a nervous wait to discover if the forward will be available to face Forest this weekend.

Ben White

Ben White faces a spell on the sidelines after undergoing a minor procedure on an injury earlier this month.

White had the treatment after suffering from joint problems in recent weeks, but it's not known how long the defender is expected to be on the sidelines.

Takehiro Tomiyasu

Takehiro Tomiyasu has made just one appearance for Arsenal this season after suffering from a knee injury.

The defender has not featured for the Gunners since the start of October. Arteta said he did not expect Tomiyasu to return before the November international break, but it remains to be seen if he will be available to face Forest this weekend.

Riccardo Calafiori

Riccardo Calafiori has been sidelined for the last few weeks with a knee injury.

Arteta confirmed at the end of October that Calafiori would be out for "a few weeks" due to the injury. As a result, Arsenal will hope that the defender will have recovered in time to feature against Forest this weekend.

Kieran Tierney

Kieran Tierney is yet to feature for Arsenal this season due to a hamstring injury he picked up in the summer.

It remains unclear when the left-back will return to action for the Gunners.
