Lucrezia Stefanini posted photos of the bruise on her arm, accompanied by a detailed description of what happened.

'"A week ago, at the US Open, during an anti-doping test, the person in charge couldn’t find the vein and, instead of switching areas, kept moving the needle inside my arm to try to locate it. The result? This lovely bruise that is still here a week later," the Italian tennis player shared.'

Lucrezia Stefanini posted the progression of the painful bruise, which prevents her from carrying out "everyday activities".

"I wonder: is it normal for a doping control to be carried out this way? And above all: is this the treatment reserved for all players?" she wondered.
