The Canberra fullback has dropped another bomb, this time in a contest with Manly winger Clayton Faulalo. The ball is collect by Manly, and two passes later Ethan Bullemor has scored the second-easiest try of his career. In the blink of an eye it is 18-0, and all points have come with Canberra reduced to 12-men through the sin-bin of Corey Horsburgh. 28' TRY: Manly score after Canberra's fullback has a shocker M By Michael Doyle It's a gift for Manly, as interchange Ethan Bullemor grounds the ball for the easiest try he will ever score. A sky-high bomb was launched by Manly halfback Daly Cherry-Evans. The bomb is landing near the goal posts, and Canberra fullback Kaeo Weekes makes a meal of the catch. He stuck an arm out but could not catch the ball. The ball bounces in the in-goal, and takes a sharp turn away from Raiders halfback Jamal Fogarty who was trying to clean up the mess. That shape bounce allowed Bullemor to race through and ground the ball. 24' TRY: Manly score but also lose their prop M By Michael Doyle We have the first try of the game, no doubt about it. Manly centre Reuben Garrick has run from dummy half, and wrestled his way over the line. What a week for Garrick, who became a father just a few days ago. There is bad new for Manly, as prop Taniela Paseka has limped off with a suspected Achilles issue. 23' SIN BIN: Corey Horsburgh is off for a professional foul M By Michael Doyle What an awful two minutes for Corey Horsburgh. He was called obstruction just moments ago which disallowed a try. Then in defence, he gave away a six-again restart. Then in a clear offside position on the goaline, Horsburgh tackles the dummy half. Referee Grant Atkins has sent the prop to the sin bin. 21' NO TRY: Raiders denied from the Bunker M By Michael Doyle Canberra thought they had the first try of the match. Centre Sebastian Kris has run 35 metres after being given a sensational short pass from half-back Jamal Fogarty. But Corey Horsburgh has been called for obstructing Manly captain Daly Cherry-Evans, which created the whole in the defence. 18' An arm wrestle at Brookvale Oval M By Michael Doyle We are still scoreless in the final match of round three. Manly have had the better of the play, but Canberra's goal line defence has been stout. The Raiders have had one true attack of the Manly line, but failed to muster anything of note, being tackled on the sixth play about four metres short of the line. Canberra will need to improve their disapline, with the penalty count favouring the Sea Eagles in the early going. Manly players celebrating 50 NRL matches M By Michael Doyle A quick note for Jake Simpkin and Ben Trbojevic who are playing their 50th NRL match today for Manly. 5' NO TRY: Manly denied by kncok-on call M By Michael Doyle Manly has had the first opportunity of the day and they have appealed for a try. A bobbling ball has been grounded by Ben Trbojevic, but the ref has correctly found a knock-on by Manly winger Clayton Faulalo. The Sea Eagles looked good in attack, and only scrambling defence from the Raiders has kept this game scoreless. Kick-off at Brookvale Oval between Manly and Canberra M By Michael Doyle The Canberra Raiders kick-off and will run from left to right on your screen. There is a big crowd at Brookvale Oval, supporting their Manly Sea Eagles. Let us know your thoughts on all things footy in the comment section. He tells ABC Sport he didn't know what he was supposed to do. “Honestly, I didn’t know what to do when I crossed the line. I poked my tongue out. I didn’t know what else to do.” Addo-Carr praises the fans after making Parra debut against old club M By Michael Doyle There was plenty of focus on Josh Addo-Carr in the lead up to this game. It was his first match for Parramatta. The opponent was the club that terminated his contract last season. Addo-Carr had an early error that led to the Bulldogs' first try, and then scored one himself in the second half. He was met with cheers and boos all day. As far as The Fox is concerned, he is fine with the reaction of the fans. "It's all love, it's all love. They're passionate, just like the Parramatta supporters," he tells ABC Sport after being asked about the boos from Bulldog fans. FULL-TIME: Canterbury Bulldogs 16 def. Parramatta Eels 8 M By Michael Doyle The Canterbury Bulldogs have made it three in a row to start the season, with a gritty eight-point win over Parramatta. The Eels could not be faulted for their effort, but struggled to finish off the Bulldogs who were out on their feet at the end of the game. 79' Eels concede silly penalty which ends their chances M By Michael Doyle Oh that was horrid. The Bulldogs kicked deep giving the Eels one set, and 90 metres to travel to send the game into golden point. But Eels forward Kitione Kautoga, who has just returned from a HIA, steps into the line of a chaser and knocks him of his backside. Clear penalty for the Bulldogs which they convert. Game over. 75' Eels on the attack but Brown throws an interception M By Michael Doyle Parramatta have a full set of six, within the Bulldogs' 20 metres. Zac Lomax was taken out of a contest by Jaeman Salmon. Lomax has been excellent in this second half. BUT THE EELS THROW AN INTERCEPT. The Bulldogs survive again on the fifth play of the set. Dylan Brown tried to throw a pass that was low percentage, and it went straight to a defender. The Bulldogs are holding on. 71' Errors piling up for both teams as full-time nears M By Michael Doyle It seems there is a new coach-killer each minute. Missed tackles, passes hitting the deck and lacklustre kicking. The Bulldogs just missed a big chance with a full set inside Parra's 20m, but Sitili Tupouniua dropped a pass from dummy half that his him in the chest. 65' Parra come up short again and again M By Michael Doyle The past 10 minutes of play has been all Parramatta, but the Eels have been unable to get their third try. The Bulldogs look out on their feet, but they have been able to hold out from the Parra onslaught. But the final pass, or kick, just has not been effective for the Eels. A pair of errors releases the pressure valve for the Dogs, who maintain a 14-8 lead. 60' Eels player Kitione Kautoga off for a HIA M By Michael Doyle Eels forward Kitione Kautoga is off for at least 15 minutes for a Head Injury Assessment. Off the ball, he and Bulldog Josh Curran collided and Kautoga appeared to hit the back of his head on the ground. He participates in a few more plays, before being called off by the independent doctor. 55' Bulldogs lead by six as Eels start to believe M By Michael Doyle The intensity of this match has really picked up in the second half. The tackles are harder. The commitment is unquestioned. The Eels have the only try of the half so far, but they have let other opportunities slip by. The Bulldogs are trying to play a measured, error-free game until the end, with a 14-8 lead. Show more posts
