The summer window in Europe may be over, but the work doesn’t stop elsewhere. Saudi Pro League clubs have until October 12, and Premier League players, such as Richarlison, could be of interest, while the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham start forming plans for January.

The Gunners endured a frustrating summer due to missing out on all of their top targets, but are expected to back in for at least two in January: Julian Alvarez and Eli Junior Kroupi. Chelsea did land one of those targets, in Morgan Rogers, but failed to sign a replacement for Enzo Fernandez, after Monaco pulled the plug an agreement to sell Lamine Camara. Chelsea could now turn to Atletico Madrid midfielder Pablo Barrios, who is valued at around €100 million.

Manchester United were also left wanting after the transfer window due to missing out on Lewis Hall, though a fresh approach is January would not be a surprise. They have announced the permanent exit of James Overy to Sydney FC. Liverpool and Tottenham will be happy with their business, but with Richarlison being pushed out Spurs could also reignite their interest in Junior Kroupi when the transfer window reopens in less than four months. Arsenal want Setford loan

With less than 14 hours to go of the window, Arsenal are still yet to find a loan move for Tommy Setford, Matt Verri reports.

As it stands, it is understood that nothing is imminent on that front but it is a situation that could move quickly throughout the day. The Gunners are, though, running out of time to secure regular first-team football for Setford this season, as has been the aim ever since Illan Meslier arrived earlier this summer.

Man Utd left-back plan revealed

The Daily Mail claims that Manchester United have a contingency plan should they not land a left-back before the deadline.

There are four potential solutions that the club are considering, with one being to have Noussair Mazraoui or Diogo Dalot cover that flank, shift Patrick Dorgu back into a full-back role, keep Harry Amass, who is in talks with Burnley over a potential move, or use Lisandro Martinez and Carlos Baleba as makeshift full-backs in the interim.

Chelsea first Deadine Day deal confirmed

Marc Guiu has left Chelsea to join RB Leipzig, the club has confirmed.

The Spaniard struggled for game time in west London since his move from Barcelona, and now moves to the Bundesliga side.

He scored six goals in the Blues’ Conference League win the season before last.

Fernandez to Man City rumbles on

Man City are locked in talks with Chelsea over a move for Enzo Fernandez.

Eduardo Burgos claims that Enzo Maresca’s side are looking to tie up a deal worth €140million for the midfielder, while Ben Jacobs reports that there is an agreement with the midfielder on personal terms.

Chelsea, meanwhile, want to source a replacement, and Manu Kone is one of their options as the clock ticks down.

Fulham set to sign Larsson

Fabrizio Romano reports that Fulham are to sign Hugo Larsson from Frankfurt.

The Cottagers will pay €25million for the Swede, who will bolster Alvaro Arbeloa’s midfield ranks.

He will undergo a medical ahead of tonight’s deadline.

Nwaneri jets in for Dortmund medical

Ethan Nwaneri is expected to join Borussia Dortmund after Arsenal signed off on a season-long loan, Matt Verri reports.

The teenager will fly to Germany today to undergo a medical and sign the paperwork for what he hopes will prove to be a more positive loan spell.

Nwaneri spent the second half of last season at Marseille but had very limited playing time and also faced questions over his commitment.

He returned to Arsenal at the start of the summer and has featured in pre-season, though the club have always remained open to letting him leave on loan.

Dortmund, who tried to sign Nwaneri permanently 12 months ago before he agreed a new long-term contract with the Gunners, are viewed as an appealing option for his development.

Leeds agree Bard deal

Daniel Farke is set to land himself a new left-back.

Melvin Bard, the Nice defender, is set to move to Elland Road on loan, according to the Telegraph.

Sunderland to sign Danso

Tottenham are in for a hectic day of business.

Roberto De Zerbi’s side are looking not just to bring more bodies in, but get numbers out as well.

They look to be on course with doing both, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that Kevin Danso will be leaving the club on loan to join Sunderland.

The deal will have a £25million oblgiation to buy for the Austrian defender.

Jack Grealish set for Everton medical

Manchester City have given Jack Grealish permission to undergo a medical with Everton this morning ahead of another season-long loan move.

Sky Sport report that Everton have agreed a deal to bring the 30-year-old back for the final year of his City contract.

Grealish spent last season on loan at Everton but saw his campaign cut short after suffering a foot injury.

Sunderland had also shown interest in signing the England international, but Grealish’s preference was always to return to Everton, where he is now set to continue his career for another season until his City deal expires.

Tosin and Mudryk to have Spurs medicals this morning

Chelsea duo Tosin Adarabioyo and Mykhailo Mudryk are set to undergo medicals with Tottenham this morning after Spurs agreed personal terms with both players overnight.

Tottenham have reached a permanent agreement for Tosin, while Mudryk is set to join initially on loan.

The deals would see Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi reunite with two players he has previously wanted to work with.

De Zerbi was keen on signing Tosin during his time at Brighton and Marseille.

The Tottenham manager also worked with Mudryk at Shakhtar Donetsk and previously backed the winger to become a future Ballon d’Or winner.
