American tennis player Emma Navarro will sport a fresh look when she walks onto the Melbourne courts for the 2026 Australian Open. The world No. 15 and FP Movement have signed a multi-year partnership, making the company Navarro’s apparel sponsor.“I am so proud to be working with FP Movement as my exclusive activewear partner starting this year,” Navarro tells me. “We were able to create some incredible pieces for me to wear, and I look forward to debuting them on the court at the Australian Open.”The partnership will include exclusive activewear launches, meet and greet events and more. FP Movement, Free People’s activewear brand, entered the professional tennis space in 2022 with a sponsorship with Sofia Kenin. FP Movement has continued in women’s tennis, partnering with additional players before its most recent announcement of Navarro joining the Philadelphia-based company.“Partnering with Emma was a natural fit,” Jack Reynolds, chief marketing officer for the brand, tells me. “She reflects FP Movement at its best: driven, disciplined and constantly evolving while staying genuine, relatable and joyful.”Navarro shot up the world rankings in 2024 with a semifinal appearance in the U.S. Open and quarterfinal runs at the Australian Open and Wimbledon. A former NCAA singles champion, she reached her career high of No. 8 in the world in September 2024 and in 2025 won the WTA 500 Merida Open in Mexico. She is still in the WTA’s top 15 entering the 2026 Australian Open. Her styles will be available to the public multiple times throughout 2026.This January, timed with the Australian Open, Navarro’s first collection will include two exclusive styles tested by Navarro. “I’ve loved FP Movement for years,” she says, “so this partnership feels like a really natural fit. I’m excited to work together and to create outfits that feel true to who I am, both on and off the court.”Free People established FP Movement in 2012 and started making tennis-focused gear in 2021 after the sport’s popularity expanded. FP Movement signed Kenin in 2022—discussions with her began as far back as 2020. The brand has also had stints sponsoring Sloane Stephens in 2023 and Danielle Collins in 2024.
