He was met with a three-set loss, despite a valiant 7-6 tiebreaker win in the second set, bringing the score to 3-2 Toreros. It was German juniorwho would play hero and deliver the final blow, winning 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 on court five, rebounding from having lost to his Pepperdine counterpart a week before.
