Coco Gauff on bringing a touch of superhero through her outfit at the Australian Open: "You have to sacrifice for fashion"

We know that tennis is Coco Gauff’s top priority, but she continues to serve up some of her unique fashion tastes too.

The American, who is currently competing in the Australian Open 2025 in Melbourne, revealed a stunning body suit inspired by superhero.

"This outfit, I'm a huge Marvel fan and a lot of the female superheroes have cool cutouts on their outfits, so that's what I wanted to do," the number three seed said in a social media post.

But there's some comfort she's had to sacrifice in the name of fashion.

"It's actually kind of a pain to get into, because it is a bodysuit, so I have to, like, put the bottom part [on] first and then pull it over my head, it's kind of a struggle," Gauff said laughing. "And if you can't hold your bladder it's also not a good idea, but you have to sacrifice for fashion."

And it wasn’t just her backless outfit that stood out at the Rod Laver Arena where she is aiming for another Grand Slam Title after her 2023 US Open triumph.

The 20-year-old also made sure to fulfil her father’s basketball passion.

"My shoes are inspired by basketball shoes, because that's the sport my dad wanted me to play, but I'm glad I chose tennis," she said.
