India created history as they defeated New Zealand in the final to win the ICC Champions Trophy . The win ended India's long wait for a 50 over ICC title. India came close to winning the 2023 ODI World Cup but they lost to Australia in the final, however, they didn't let the opportunity go begging in the ICC Champions Trophy and won the tournament undefeated. It was no less than a festive occasion in India after the historic triumph while the mood in the Indian team in Dubai was no less electric.

Meanwhile, the families of the cricketers were present at the Dubai International Stadium for the special event. Indian captain Rohit Sharma shared a heartfelt moment with Ritika Sajdeh and daughter Samaira after the win before Anushka Sharma joined in and the families shared a hug. Hardik Pandya also joined the celebrations and shared a warm hug.

Virat Kohli Redeems Himself In Champions Trophy Virat Kohli had a great outing in the ICC Champions Trophy and played a significant role in India's win. He ended the tournament as India's second-highest run scorer, with 218 runs in five games. He scored a brilliant hundred against Pakistan and also notched up a match-winning half-century in the semifinal against Australia. There were speculations that Kohli might retire after the Champions Trophy, but the India great hinted that he is far from over. He lauded the team for its efforts and said that it is ready to take on the world for the next eight years. "These are the things you want to play (for titles), playing under pressure and putting your hand up. The whole team, everyone has put their hands up sometimes or other (during the course of the tournament), everyone has put up impactful performances, we've been part of an amazing team, the amount of work we've done in the practice sessions, it feels great (to win)., Kohli said.

"When you leave, you want to leave the team in a better place, I feel we've a squad that's ready to take on the world for the next eight years. Shubman has been outstanding, Shreyas has played some top knocks, KL has finished games and Hardik has been superb with the bat," Kohli said.
