County Championship day two as it happened: Warwicks seal two-day win, Somerset & Notts under pressure

Another fascinating day of County Championship cricket comes to an end and this title race in Division One is absolutely gripping. Real eyes glued to the screen and pitch stuff.

Warwickshire have done their job and in some style with an eight-wicket victory at Essex inside two days.

Zaman Akhter's 5-75 in Essex's second innings set the Bears on their way before a quick 50 for Zen Malik helped knock off the 133 runs they needed for victory.

Somerset would return to the top with a win but they still need to take four more wickets before they can chase a target, with Yorkshire's lead 139 runs at close.

Nottinghamshire are up against it at Sussex, who lead the defending champions by 68 runs with four wickets in hand.

Notts know they must win to realistically stay in the fight, especially if Somerset come out on top in their game.
