The two best tennis players in the men’s game will decide who ends the year as world No. 1 at the ATP Tour Finals in Turin, Italy.World No. 2 Jannik Sinner defeated Félix Auger-Aliassime 6-4, 7-6(4) Sunday to win the Paris Masters, which sees him overtake Alcaraz at the top of the world rankings as of the update on Monday Nov. 3. The Spaniard opened the door by losing to Cameron Norrie in the first round of the last ATP Masters 1000 of the year, producing an erratic performance in the French capital to lose 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.But Sinner, who is the defending champion at the ATP Tour Finals, will sit there for just one week. His 1,500 points, for last year going undefeated in winning the title, will drop off his 52-week ranking ahead of the tournament, while Alcaraz will drop just 200 points, after arriving with a cold and losing two of this three group-stage matches at the 2024 event.
