Napoli are interested in signing the Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund during the summer transfer window.

According to reports via SportWitness, the Napoli sporting director, Giovanni Manna, is in talks with Manchester United, and he’s trying to negotiate a deal for the Denmark international.

Italy move would be ideal for Rasmus Hojlund

The 22-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford, and he needs to leave the club in order to play more often. Joining the Italian champions could be ideal for him. Romelu Lukaku has been sidelined with an injury he picked up last week, and Napoli are now desperate to bring in a quality striker.

The Manchester United player is reportedly a priority target for Antonio Conte. The report claims that the Italian champions are willing to pay the player wages of around €4.5 million in order to convince him. It remains to be seen whether the player is ready to join them.

Can Napoli sign Hojlund?

Napoli are hoping to sign him on loan with an option to buy him permanently. If he manages to impress in Italy, the deal could be made permanent in the summer. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops. Napoli are one of the biggest clubs in Italy, and the opportunity to join them could be exciting for the young striker. He has played his best football in Italy with Atalanta, and the opportunity to return to his comfort zone could be ideal for him.

He does not have a future at Manchester United and they have already signed Benjamin Sesko, who is likely to lead the line for them this season. Hojlund will fall further down the pecking order if he stays at the club. It would be ideal for him to move on.
