Norma Dagher is the talk of Belmore in Sydney's south-west.She's bulldozed a historic homestead that she inherited and locals aren't happy.They claim the previous owners, Wilma and Carol Hynson, wanted the property heritage listed."We are talking about the wishes of two dead women that were not carried out. (Nine)The house at No. 1 Wilson Avenue, Belmore, was set on a huge double lot with a tennis court and quaint clubhouse.Wilma coached there well into her 80s.Coorey says Norma's son was taking tennis lessons at the house when she befriended an ailing Wilma.After Wilma passed away, her London-based daughter Carol inherited the sprawling estate.Wilma coached tennis on the property well into her 80s. (Nine)"We had an agreement," she told A Current Affair before seeking shelter inside a flower shop.A Current Affair is not suggesting Norma has done anything wrong, but locals reckon their newly minted neighbour's actions don't pass the pub test in a suburb that's undergoing a high-density transformation."I love that place but they [Canterbury-Bankstown council] are rezoning the whole area," Norma told A Current Affair."There's going to be units right next to me."Watch the full video in the player above.
