The summer window continues to ramp up as the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham work on deals to improve their squads. The Gunners are on the lookout for attacking targets, and could reignite their interest in Julian Alvarez, amid interest in Bradley Barcola and lliman Ndiaye, while Ezri Konsa and Tottenham captain Cristian Romero are of interest in defence.

Manchester United need a new left-back, but Newcastle are refusing to sell Lewis Hall so Jorge Salinas is said to be a new target. An injury to Mason Mount could see United renew efforts to sign a midfielder. Chelsea are set to confirm the arrival of Pep Chavarria, as they await the arrival of Morgan Rogers in training for the first time.

Barcelona captain Ronald Araujo is set to undergo a medical with Liverpool, who remain keen to wrap up a deal for Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye. Tottenham have turned attentions to Georges Mikautadze, and remain keen on Cody Gakpo and Savinho, as Micky van de Ven agrees a new contract and Manor Solomon heads to West Ham. Arsenal and Manchester United scouting Pio Esposito

Arsenal and Manchester United are both interested in signing Inter Milan striker Pio Esposito.

The Sun report that both clubs sent scouts to watch the 21-year-old during pre-season, while Arsenal have been monitoring the striker for several months.

Inter publicly consider Esposito “untouchable”, but the club have privately set an asking price of around £73m.

The striker is also understood to be very open to a move to the Premier League, potentially setting the stage for a battle between Arsenal and United for his signature.

Arsenal make contact for Bradley Barcola

Arsenal have made contact with Paris Saint-Germain over a potential move for winger Bradley Barcola.

According to TEAMtalk, the Gunners have joined the race for the France international as they continue searching for attacking reinforcements.

Liverpool are also interested in Barcola and are currently considered to be leading the race for the 23-year-old, with talks already taking place.

PSG are reportedly demanding around £130m for Barcola, meaning Arsenal would need to make a significant investment to bring the winger to the Premier League.

Tottenham close in on Savinho deal

Tottenham are advancing in talks with Manchester City over a deal for Savinho, with an agreement now edging closer.

According to Football Insider, Spurs have already agreed personal terms with the 22-year-old winger, who is pushing for a move to North London.

A package worth around £60m is reportedly enough to complete the deal, with all parties confident the transfer can be finalised before the window closes.

Ronald Araujo set for Liverpool medical

Ronald Araujo is set to complete his surprise loan switch to Liverpool on Sunday.

It is expected that the versatile Uruguay defender will arrive on Merseyside in order to undergo a medical and put the finishing touches on an initial season-long deal that will include the option for a permanent transfer next summer.

Liverpool have swooped for Barcelona centre-back Araujo amid injuries to new arrival Jeremy Jacquet, Joe Gomez and Giovanni Leoni, while Ibrahima Konate left the club earlier this summer at the end of his contract.

It has left captain Virgil van Dijk as the only fit senior central defender available to new boss Andoni Iraola.

Cristian Romero 'wants shock Arsenal move'

Cristian Romero wants to join Arsenal this summer, according to reports.

Claims first emerged on Thursday that the Gunners had made a shock approach to arch-rivals Tottenham over their wantaway captain.

However, Spurs are said to have denied that any contact was made as Atletico Madrid step up their move for a player who has also been the subject of talks with Inter Milan this summer.

The Sun say today that Romero wants to cross the north London divide, but Tottenham unsurprisingly have absolutely no intention of letting that happen.

Carrick reveals Rashford plan as Man Utd return confirmed

Marcus Rashford will join up with the Manchester United squad as they head to the Republic of Ireland for the next phase of pre-season, Michael Carrick has confirmed.

Rashford’s club future has appeared in limbo this summer after Barcelona opted not to exercise their £26million option to sign him on a permanent transfer following his season-long loan spell at the Camp Nou last term.

The 28-year-old’s United career had previously appeared to be all but over after he was frozen out by former boss Ruben Amorim, having also spent time out on loan at Aston Villa and not played for his parent club in a competitive fixture since a Europa League meeting with Viktoria Plzen in December 2024.

Romelu Lukaku wants Fenerbahce move

Romelu Lukaku has said yes to a potential move to Fenerbahce, reports claim.

The Belgian striker is widely expected to leave Napoli this summer after an injury-wrecked 2025/26 campaign.

Lukaku, 33, had been linked with a surprise switch to Monaco this week, before Fenerbahce then emerged as the leading suitors for his signature.

Fabrizio Romano reports tonight that the former Manchester United and Chelsea frontman has given the green light to a transfer to Istanbul after talks with president Aziz Yildirim.

We will now wait and see if the two clubs can reach an agreement over the transfer fee.

Ferran Torres set for PSG switch after Arsenal links

It looks like Ferran Torres won’t be heading to Arsenal this summer.

The World Cup final match-winner had been very tentatively linked with a switch to north London this week after Vinicius Jr’s decision to extend his contract at Real Madrid.

However, Paris Saint-Germain had already made a lot of progress towards a deal to sign the former Manchester City star from Barcelona.

According to to Fabrizio Romano, an agreement has already been reached on personal terms, with PSG to submit an official bid soon as club-to-club talks accelerate.

Manor Solomon set for West Ham medical

West Ham are closing in on the permanent signing of Tottenham winger Manor Solomon.

Standard Sport understands that while a deal for the Israel international has yet to be finalised, it is now near to completion.

West Ham are believed to have reached an initial agreement over a transfer worth £5m up front, plus a further £2m in add-ons. Spurs have also reportedly added a 10 per cent sell-on clause into the deal.

Tottenham retain sell-on for Manor Solomon

More now on Manor Solomon’s impending move from Tottenham to West Ham.

We’ve already heard that the deal between the London rivals is worth an initial £5m up front, plus a further £2m in add-ons.

Ben Jacobs of GiveMeSport now adds that Spurs will also retain a 10 per cent sell-on as part of the agreement.
