Today marks 125 days until 24 June 2026 and the 125th anniversary of the day that Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club was formed in the Seven Stars pub on Ship Street, Brighton.Since that day in 1901, the club has been on quite a journey and today we start our countdown to the club’s 125 anniversary season. Tonight, the iconic Brighton Pavilion will be illuminated in the club’s famous colours as we start looking forward to this special milestone in our history.This is an opportunity to celebrate our unique history, and all the things make us Albion. We shall honour our teams, our fans, our home, our city, our identity and our community and the essence of the club that continues to inspire us, makes us proud and brings us together.The club is still shaping plans for our celebrations, but we are pleased to announce an overview of what’s in store. There is something for everyone in the Albion family and our wider community to enjoy and get involved with.Celebrating our historyOn Saturday 15 August, a brand-new permanent gallery exhibition will be opening in the Brighton Museum & Art Gallery. Brighton & Hove Albion: Stand or Fall will be an immersive experience filled with objects, fan memories and sights and sounds from across the club’s past, present and future.Celebrating our teamsOn Tuesday 19 May a big stage and screen production set in front of the players tunnel at the Amex will herald a unique and unforgettable night as we welcome illustrious guests from our history, remember moments that have shaped our club and celebrate today’s stars with the 2026 Players’ Awards.A selection of ticket options will be available for this landmark event ensuring it is accessible to all fans.Celebrating our family, our homeOn Saturday 6 June we shall host a 125 Anniversary Family Festival on the Amex pitch giving fans a unique opportunity to take to the hallowed turf for a day of fun, football, music, entertainment, special guests and much, much more.Celebrating our cityOn Wednesday 24 June, on the 125th anniversary of the founding of the club, there will be an Albion takeover of the city with special commemorations hosted where it all started in the Seven Stars pub.Celebrating our storyFrom April 2 we will be linking up with local venues and cinemas to screen the club’s official documentary Stand or Fall, giving fans the opportunity to come together to relive the club’s remarkable rise from losing their stadium and facing extinction to reclaiming their place among English football’s elite.Celebrating our identityThe club recently announced an adaption of the club crest that will be used on all 125 anniversary content – the official 125 club crest. A 125 font, inspired by the club crest used between 1956-58, will adorn our heritage items and activities.A commemorative range of merchandise will be available to fans, starting this week and our collaboration with independent fashion brand Percival featuring the 1956-58 branding. Further 125 Anniversary ranges will be launched in May 2026.A 125 Anniversary Fan Wall will be installed at the Amex. Celebrating legends of the club, the installation will be made up of a mosaic of individual fan photographs creating a unique mural that all supporters can be part of.Celebrate togetherThe club plans to mark the start of our historic 2026/27 season with a friendly at the Amex where the Albion family will be invited to come together to officially kick-off the celebrations.The home game scheduled closest to the anniversary of the club’s first competitive match on 21 September 1901 will be designated our 125 Anniversary Match with plans to celebrate and commemorate once fixtures are confirmed.A dedicated area has been created on the club’s website and app to keep fans up to date with further details of our celebrations over the coming weeks and months.This is just a taste of what’s in store.
