Ray Parlour predicts the result for West Ham against Chelsea in the Premier League

Ray Parlour has delivered his match prediction ahead of Saturday’s early kick-off between West Ham and Chelsea.

West Ham host Chelsea tomorrow afternoon in the Premier League. For the Blues, they make the short trip to the London Stadium knowing they’ve not won there since April 2021.

Enzo Maresca has the chance to match a Pep Guardiola record this weekend, which is winning his first three away games in the Premier League. This comes after previous wins on the road against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bournemouth already this season.

Maresca’s style of play is slowly creeping into the Blues’ game with controlled possession-based football, but they’re going to have to be physically ready to compete against West Ham.

Ray Parlour predicts West Ham vs Chelsea

TalkSPORT pundit Ray Parlour has tipped a score draw between West Ham and Chelsea this weekend at the London Stadium.

“West Ham are sitting 14th in the league at the moment. Chelsea’s away record has been pretty good this season, done really well away from home. They have had some big results. This one is such a hard one…” Parlour told talkSPORT (7:40am, 20 September).

“I was going to go for a West Ham win, but I have changed my mind. I am going for 1-1 draw and I will go, Cole Palmer, is due a goal.”

Cole Palmer to find his shooting boots

As mentioned above, Chelsea talisman Cole Palmer is definitely due a goal going into the West Ham clash.

The 22-year-old attacker, who’s mainly operating in the No.10 position, scored 25 goals for the Blues during his debut season last year.

So far, Palmer has only scored once in his six appearances this campaign. It’s worth noting he’s still remained a key figure for his team by assisting four times, though.

England star Palmer scored the last time Chelsea played West Ham, thrashing them 5-0 at Stamford Bridge back in May. Hopefully, there’s a repeat this weekend and he flexes his goalscoring muscles.
