Alisson Fined £8,000 for Misconduct in Forest Game

Liverpool FC goalkeeper Alisson Becker has been fined £8,000 by the Football Association for misconduct, after losing his temper and taking out his frustrations on the fourth official's numbers board as he made his way back to the dressing room after the final whistle.

"It was alleged that the goalkeeper acted in an improper manner around the tunnel area after the final whistle. Alisson Becker has subsequently accepted the charge against him and received the standard penalty."

Alisson was aghast at the decision to award a penalty for a foul on Neco Williams, long after the defender's shot had been released and subsequently made contact with him. In the lead-up to the incident, the numbers board had malfunctioned and caused a delay to a triple substitution that Andoni Iraola wanted to make.
