Conor McGregor revealed his delight after spending time with his “yacht neighbour” David Beckham on Saturday night.

The MMA star met up with the football legend and his family while holidaying in Italy over the weekend.

The former UFC world champion, a lifelong Manchester United fan, posed for photos with former United great Beckham and his two youngest sons, Romeo and Cruz.

McGregor and his family have been sailing along the Italian coast aboard their private yacht for the past week, stopping in Naples and heading south towards the Amalfi Coast.

They eventually bumped into the Beckhams, who had also been holidaying nearby on their yacht, "Seven", along the Sorrentine Peninsula.

After mingling with celebrities like Richard E. Grant and Gordon Ramsay, the Beckhams met McGregor and his family when both yachts ended up moored side by side.

Posting photos of their encounter on social media, McGregor called football legend Beckham his "yacht neighbour" and said: "David Beckham, what a guy!

"Great to meet you and the fam finally, a big inspiration for me growing up!

"The Beckham dynasty, an absolute powerhouse that COMMANDS FULL RESPECT!"

The Beckhams came ashore from their €18.5 million yacht, which they purchased last year, while McGregor and his family were enjoying time aboard their €3 million Lamborghini vessel.

McGregor has been using his time in Italy to fit in some mixed martial arts training, though it remains unclear if or when he will return to the UFC.

The 37-year-old last fought in 2021 and has since been at the centre of many public controversies.

Earlier this summer, McGregor, who is engaged to his long-time partner Dee Devlin, was pictured kissing a mysterious woman on a busy Florida beach.
