‘You forgot the SIU!’ Sadio Mane reminds Cristiano Ronaldo before Al-Nassr icon breaks SPL scoring record

Sadio Mane had to remind Cristiano Ronaldo to do his famous 'SIU' celebration after the Al-Nassr star scored the winner against Al-Taawoun on Friday.

Ronaldo then delivered the celebration, adding another memorable moment to a night that saw him make Al-Nassr history.

The 41-year-old struck in the 50th minute to complete a 2-1 comeback victory after Bassam Al-Harbi had given Al-Taawoun an early lead.

Ronaldo's goal was also his 978th career strike and his 104th in the Saudi Pro League for Al-Nassr, making him the club's all-time top scorer in the competition.

The moment came during the celebrations, when Mane appeared to tell Ronaldo that he had forgotten to perform his trademark 'SIU'.

Ronaldo duly listened, turning back to deliver the celebration that has become one of the most recognisable in football.

It was a light-hearted moment between two Al-Nassr stars after the Portuguese forward had once again delivered when his team needed him most.

Al-Nassr had been made to work for the victory after Al-Harbi put the visitors ahead after just 11 minutes.

The equaliser arrived in first-half stoppage time, with new signing Samu Costa producing a magnificent strike to bring the defending champions level.

Ronaldo then completed the comeback five minutes after half-time.

Mohamed Simakan's shot fell kindly for the veteran forward, who used a clever touch to turn the ball home and put Al-Nassr ahead.

Al-Taawoun pushed for an equaliser during the closing stages, but Al-Nassr held on to preserve their perfect start to the Roshn League season.

The victory leaves them with 12 points from four matches and at the top of the table.

For Ronaldo, the night added another record to an already remarkable career. His 104 Saudi Pro League goals for Al-Nassr have now made him the club's leading scorer in the competition.

He is also Real Madrid's all-time top scorer in La Liga, while his latest goal keeps him on 978 career strikes as the chase for 1,000 continues.

Al-Nassr's next challenge comes in September against Al Ittihad, when Ronaldo and his team-mates will look to maintain their flawless start.
