Arne Slot's men take on Eintracht Frankfurt away from home on matchday three of this season's Champions League, searching to get back on track and end a stretch of four consecutive defeats in all competitions.Knowing Wednesday night's opposition well from his time in Germany, Szoboszlai explained the need for the Reds to produce the quality and mental resolution that made them the reigning Premier League champions. The No.8 spoke to Liverpoolfc.com at the AXA Training Centre to preview the game – read on to see what he had to say...Dom, it was a tough day on Sunday and not the outcome you wanted. What has the reaction been like over the last few days?I think [it] never happened in my career but [also in] a lot of guys' careers that we lost four times in a row. So, now we have to stick together, that's most important. We had a lot of meetings, we spoke with each other, but the most important [thing] is that we stay together. Because in a good time it's easy to stay together but it's the most important thing when it comes to a hard time, how we stay together. I think for Wednesday we are ready to show a reaction and that's what we are going to do.Is there confidence that the turnaround is coming? The margins have been quite small in the games that we have lost, obviously Cody Gakpo hitting the woodwork three times at the weekend, there's been late goals...Of course. This will turn. If you work hard, you keep going, the luck will go on your side. As you said, Cody hitting the post three times, we create chances, don't let chances for the team who we play against. That's the case. Sometimes it happens and now we have to just keep going.Back to Germany for yourself and a big performance needed in the Champions League after the Galatasaray game last time out as well...The most important [thing] is that I think we have to show again the character what we have, what Liverpool can do and what we are able to do. We showed it last season, becoming champions with many points, to be honest. Now everybody is ready for us – but that's a good thing, you have to take it as a positivity and just be ready for them.Is there an added hunger in the Champions League this season, given how close we went in the Round of 16 last season with Paris Saint-Germain and the desire to go further this time around?Of course, of course. But now we have to speak game by game. Now we travel to Frankfurt, so we have to be ready. But for me also especially, this Champions League campaign is something special because, as you know, the final is in Budapest. But it's a long journey, so we have a lot of things to do, a lot of things to learn, to change and just focus on ourselves. You'll know Frankfurt well, the atmosphere of the stadium and the club from your time in Germany. What can we expect when we go there tomorrow night? They have unbelievable fans. It's a city full of football fans and I played many times against them, had good ones but also a couple of bad ones as well. They have a really good team, a really good coach who I know [from] when I played in Leipzig. They will be ready, for sure, for us.You went back to Leipzig last season, so you experienced going back to your former club. We've got Hugo Ekitike doing the same tomorrow. What will that be like for him and what's that like when you go back to a club that you've had success with?It feels always special. Especially how Hugo left there, I think we can't say after two seasons you are a legend but he looked like this and they loved him. He loved them, they loved him – and that's the most important connection between the players, the club and the fans. I think it's an unbelievable feeling to go back because they still love you, even [if] you don't play for them. But hopefully he can help us and not them.
