Ange Postecoglou’s verdict

Speaking to our Review Show from Molineux, Ange said: “It was a bit of a funny game for us. I thought our general football was good. This is not an easy place to come to, but we conceded goals on the back of uncharacteristic individual errors, and when that happens, it’s very hard to get a result.”

Ange on poor goals costing us, as he said at Chelsea recently...

“Yes... today was just guys making errors, who, to be fair, have been pretty good for us this year. It all happened in one game, and we got punished for it.”

Ange on us having good spells going forward in the game...

“Like I said, for the most part I thought our football was good. In the second half, we had to chase the game a bit, I thought we did that really well, got ourselves into a great position at 2-1 but conceded straight away, then back to 3-2, then we conceded again. From our perspective, we understand why we lost today, but in general, the effort wasn't too bad.”

Ange on Deki’s return after six weeks out...

“Yes, important for Deki, Richy, Matty Tel, that they all got some minutes today because they are going to be important for us on Thursday.”

As Ange eluded to there, next up, our UEFA Europa League quarter-final, second leg against Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany on Thursday (8pm UK) with the tie locked at 1-1 after the first leg.
