Alex Scott is being monitored by Arsenal, who is currently valued at around £60million by Bournemouth this summer.

The Cherries missed out on the Champions League after Liverpool finished fifth, but he still has Europa League coming at the Vitality.

The 22-year-old is also set to travel to America as part of the England training squad.

According to reports, the Gunners are assessing the market in midfield, after some concerns over the form of Martin Zubimendi towards the end of the season.

Chelsea and Man United are both also reportedly looking at the midfielder.

Julian Alvarez blow

Julian Alvarez could be the centre of a transfer battle between Barcelona and Arsenal this summer.

The former Man City star has scored 20 goals and provided 10 assists this season, having scored 29 the campaign prior.

However, the Gunners have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of the 26-year-old.

According to reports, Julian Alvarez would prefer to stay in Spain this summer, indicating that Barcelona will beat Arsenal to his signature.

But, Barcelona’s financial situation could make a move difficult to facilitate.

Fabrizio Romano is also reporting that there are no active talks for the forward at this stage.

Party time

Arsenal lifted the Premier League trophy in front of thousands of adoring fans at Selhurst Park just days after ending the club’s 22-year-long wait to be crowned champions of England.

The north Londoners ran out 2-1 winners at Selhurst Park thanks to goals from Gabriel Jesus and Noni Madueke.

But no matter the result, it was always going to be a party in the away end at Selhurst Park.

Those with tickets knew they were gold dust, and fans on the trains to South London shared stories about being offered thousands of pounds to sell them.

But the chance to see the Gunners finally lift the Premier League after more than two decades of hurt was priceless.

And they were sent into a state of ecstasy when skipper Martin Odegaard hoisted the trophy aloft shortly after being presented his winners’ medal.

‘My goat’

Football fans couldn’t quite believe who Piers Morgan was standing next to moments before Arsenal lifted the Premier League trophy.

The Gunners superfan was pitch-side after the club’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park to watch the team hoist the Premier League trophy aloft.

SunSport’s Chisanga Malata can reveal who it was.

Mikel Arteta kissed his wife and was brought to tears during Arsenal’s Premier League title celebrations.

The Gunners boss finally got his hands on the trophy that had evaded him for three consecutive years of finishing second.

His side ran out narrow 2-1 winners in South London against Crystal Palace on the final day of the season after being confirmed as champs earlier in the week.

It was an evening that marked a culmination of more than six years’ hard work since Arteta’s appointment – and the special scenes showed just how invested everyone is.

An emotional Arteta cried at Selhurst Park as his players and backroom staff enjoyed sensational post-match celebrations in front of the travelling away fans.

Trossard to stay

Leandro Trossard has strongly hinted he will remain at Arsenal next season despite ongoing speculation surrounding his future.

The Belgian winger, who has one year left on his current deal, admitted he expects to still be at the Emirates beyond the World Cup.

He’s also not fazed by the prospect of another left-winger such as Nico Williams coming in and providing more competition for places.

Asked whether he sees himself staying at Arsenal, Trossard replied: “At the moment, yes. I still have one year on my contract and hopefully first we win the Champions League. Then I think next season can be another very nice season.

“They can bring in whoever they want. I know that I can hold my own.”

Arteta in North London Forever?

Mikel Arteta is set to become the longest-serving current manager across England’s top four divisions following Pep Guardiola’s decision to leave Manchester City and Harrogate Town’s relegation from League Two.

Harrogate manager Simon Weaver previously held the accolade as he’s been in charge of the Yorkshire club since 2019, but they suffered relegation.

As of tomorrow, Arteta will have been in charge of Arsenal for six years and 150 days – the longest active managerial reign in English football after Guardiola brings an end to his remarkable decade long spell at the Etihad.

There is also a fitting link between the two managers. Before taking the Arsenal job, Arteta spent three years working under Guardiola as his assistant at Manchester City between 2016 and 2019.

Now, after learning alongside one of the greatest managers ever, Arteta has the chance to build his own long-term legacy in North London and potentially emulate Guardiola’s decade-long reign at the top of English football.

Arsenal keeper to leave club

Arsenal goalkeeper Karl Hein is set to leave the club permanently this summer after falling down the pecking order at the Emirates.

The 24-year-old was effectively deemed surplus to requirements last year following the arrival of Kepa Arrizabalaga as understudy to David Raya, and spent the season on loan at Werder Bremen.

Hein struggled for regular opportunities in Germany, making just two appearances during his spell despite making his Bundesliga debut against Bayern Munich in a 4-0 defeat in September.

The Estonia international is now expected to complete a permanent move to Bremen in a deal worth around £2.6million, bringing an end to his eight-year stay in north London.

Hein made only one senior appearance for Arsenal – a League Cup defeat to Brighton in 2022.

Arteta’s reward for success

Mikel Arteta is reportedly set to be rewarded for leading Arsenal to the Premier League title with a new contract and another major summer spending spree.

According to The Mirror, Arsenal are preparing for another ambitious transfer window despite the likelihood of several departures from the squad.

Sporting Director Andrea Berta is said to be prioritising attacking reinforcements, with Julián Álvarez emerging as a key target.

Arsenal are also keen to strengthen the central midfield area. Mateus Fernandes is among the names being monitored, while Sandro Tonali has also been linked.

Mass exodus at Arsenal?

Several Arsenal stars could play their last game for the club today.

Mikel Arteta has wrung the changes, reverting from much of his regular XI – no doubt with next week’s Champions League final against PSG in mind.

Earlier this week, CBS Sports reported that EIGHT players could leave this summer.

The names listed were Ben White, Gabriel Jesus, Ethan Nwaneri, Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, Kai Havertz, Martin Ødegaard and Cristhian Mosquera.

After winning the title in midweek, Mikel Arteta may look to freshen up his squad in the coming months. But to fund new signings, players will need to be sold.

In today’s final league match of the season against Crystal Palace, Mosquera, Martinelli and Jesus are all starting.

Meanwhile, Odegaard and Havertz are on the bench and will likely come on at some point.

Kroupi speaks out on potential move

Eli Junior Kroupi admitted Arsenal’s stars have been flooding his phone with messages after his goal against Manchester City helped hand the Premier League title to the Gunners.

The Bournemouth forward struck in Tuesday night’s dramatic 1-1 draw with City, a result that confirmed Arsenal as champions.

Asked if any Gunners players had thanked him, the France Under-21 ace told Stadium Astro: “Yes I have received many messages but I tell myself that I didn’t do this for Arsenal.

“I do this for Bournemouth. I can say I scored against Arsenal, I scored against City. It doesn’t change anything, I just wanted to help my team.

When asked about his next step, he said: “I want to perform with my team and perform also in Europe also because it is very beautiful to be in Europe but you have to perform to play there.”

A point away to Nottingham Forest today ensures Champions League qualification for Bournemouth next season, and the result could decide Kroupi’s where Kroupi will be playing.

Kiwior to Barcelona?

Barcelona are reportedly weighing up a move for Arsenal centre-back Jakub Kiwior as Hansi Flick looks add depth to his defensive options this summer.

The Poland international, who has spent the season on loan at Porto, has been extensively scouted by the La Liga champions in recent months – according to Spanish outlet SPORT.

Barcelona are believed to be targeting a quick, left-footed centre-back capable of fitting into Flick’s high defensive line and possession-based style. and Kiwior is understood to be suited.

The 26-year-old is comfortable bringing the ball out from the back and can also operate at left-back or in defensive midfield, making him an attractive and versatile option.

Barca’s top target is reported to be Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni, but they could be priced out of it.

Arteta a fan of Mateus Fernandes

Arsenal’s engine room has been one of their strong points in this title-winning season.

For the most part, Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi have formed an excellent partnership in midfield.

But more recently, Myles Lewis-Skelly has got the nod over Zubimendi.

Arteta now wants to add more depth, and according to The Times he’s a fan of Fernandes’ ability in both boxes.

Arsenal will face a challenge next year to defend their title, and signing Fernandes would ease that challenge slightly – particularly if Rice was to get injured.

Arteta to be given ‘war chest’

The Mirror are reporting that Mikel Arteta will be rewarded with a £250 million ‘war chest’ to bolster his already Premier League title winning side.

Arsenal are also preparing to hand Arteta a huge new contract extension that would align him with Europe’s top-paid managers.

Owners Stan and Josh Kroenke laid out a message in the programme ahead of the Burnley clash that they would keep pushing the club forward.

Julian Alvarez and Eli Junior Kroupi are two of the names linked with the Gunners this summer that would lay out a clear message to the rest of Europe.

Kepa interest gathers pace

Inter Milan are interested in signing Arsenal back-up goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri were expected to snap up Tottenham stopper Guglielmo Vicario to fill the vacancy that will open up between the sticks when Yann Sommer leaves this summer.

But those plans have been scrapped, with Josep Martinez promoted to the No1 spot and Kepa eyed up as a potential No2.

The Gunners paid £5million to sign the Spaniard from Chelsea last year and have played him 11 times this term, with all of those appearances coming in cup competitions.

Winger leaves door open for Gunners

In-demand Christos Tzolis has left the door ajar for suitors to try and sign him this summer.

Arsenal are among a host of big clubs, along with Manchester United and Manchester City, to be linked with the Club Brugge goal machine.

Tzolis flopped at Norwich earlier in his career but has surpassed 20 goals from out wide in each of his two seasons in Belgium.

And when asked about his trio of high-flying Prem suitors, he told DAZN: “It’s not up to me to decide.

“We’ll see what the best option is for me. It’s not just about the name. We also have to ask ourselves what the best project is.”

Could Alvarez be on his way?

What a signing this would be for the Gunners to cap off their title win.

Former Man City star Alvarez has been linked with the Emirates and according to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have dropped out of the race.

The outlet says Barca view their chances of pipping Arsenal and PSG to his signature as “impossible”.

Arsenal have managed to eventually get good displays out of Viktor Gyokeres but they could do with another striker to take the burden off his shoulders.
