Cristiano Ronaldo could reunite with Casemiro.Cristiano Ronaldo is a potential driving force behind the Saudi Pro League's desire to sign Manchester United midfielder Casemiro this month, according to reports. The 39-year-old forward is said to be keen on a blockbuster reunion with his former Real Madrid and United team-mate at Al-Nassr. Casemiro's future at Old Trafford is uncertain after losing his regular starting berth since Ruben Amorim replaced Erik ten Hag in November. He turns 33 next month and is unable to fulfil Amorim's demands in midfield the same way Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo can.Casemiro has been touted to leave Manchester in the summer, one year before his contract expires, alongside Christian Eriksen, whose deal is up.However, the Brazilian could be set to depart earlier than expected, with the prospect of a Saudi switch growing increasingly likely. According to The Telegraph, the Saudi Pro League wants Casemiro before the January deadline, and a reunion with Ronaldo is on the cards. Ronaldo's Al-Nassr contract expires this summer, and amid speculation about his eagerness to return to European football, he has publicly nudged the club to do business this winter. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has said he is "happy" but mentioned that it was currently hard for Al-Nassr to compete with Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad.Casemiro is no longer a key player at Man Utd.Stay up-to-date with the latest Man Utd news Join us on WhatsApp Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions, and adverts from us and our partners. It's claimed that Casemiro was also open to landing in the Saudi Pro League in the summer, but no agreement was reached. United will be ready to cut their losses on the veteran midfield, having splashed a staggering £70million to sign him from Real in 2022. But offloading his £350,000-a-week wages - the highest at the club - would considerably boost Amorim's budget and free up space for midfield reinforcements in the next two transfer windows.
