Bangladesh to tour Nepal for three T20Is in March 2027

The Bangladesh Cricket Board announced on Wednesday (September 16) that their men’s national cricket team will tour Nepal in March 2027 for a three-match T20I series.

Cricbuzz earlier reported BCB is chalking out a plan to tour Nepal in 2027 after the Nepal Cricket Association invited them.

Ambassador of Nepal to Bangladesh Ghanshyam Bhandari visited BCB on Wednesday and met with BCB President Tamim Iqbal, during which the proposed tour and wider cricketing cooperation between the two countries were discussed.

Bhandari met Tamim following a meeting between State Minister for the Ministry of Youth and Sports Md Aminul Haque, where talks regarding the series were initiated.

BCB declared that the series will be dedicated to those who lost their lives in the recent devastating floods in Nepal.

The matches will be played in Kathmandu on 26, 28 and 30 March 2027.

“The three matches will provide an opportunity for Bangladesh and Nepal to come together through cricket and convey a message of friendship and solidarity at a time of great loss,” BCB said in a statement.

The BCB in a statement also assured the Nepal Cricket Association of its continued cooperation and support in the broader development of cricket in Nepal. The areas of collaboration will include exchange of men’s and women’s tours, High Performance programmes, training and technical support and other development initiatives that can benefit players and cricket personnel of both countries.
