Babar Azam has played into it there. Leg side, gets almost off the face of the bat and that's a fabulous catch by Jordan Cox. He's absolutely leapt like a salmon. You feel that England could just run through the door now.

England keep the field spread to new batter Ghazi Ghori and he edges through where the slips would have been.

Debutant Ghori made only four in the first innings. England still have a chance of finishing this today.

It was coming. The wicket Jofra Archer could have had in the previous over is taken by Josh Tongue as Babar Azam flaps at a bouncer once again.

This time he gets a bit of bat or glove down the leg side and Jordan Cox takes a leaping catch.

Fast bowlers across the world will have taken note of the past 20 minutes. Babar will be a marked man.

Babar is flapping. He chips another just out of the reach of a fielder.

England are not going to stop with the short stuff now.

That's a devilishly difficult catch to take and he did catch the ball. He caught it nicely and then flicked the rope as he lobbed it up in the air. We've seen them taken so much in short-form cricket, it's a brilliant skill when it works.

Babar dropped on 69

Is this a drop? It's almost brilliant. It's young Theo Wylie again after Babar Azam skies an upper cut.

Wylie does plenty of the work right but can't quite take the second attempt as steps out of the field and tosses the ball back up to himself.

It means it's six.

It is indeed bouncer time and the plan almost works immediately. Babar Azam pulls Josh Tongue and it brushes the fingertips of Joe Root at square leg.

Saud Shakeel appeals less keen to take the short stuff on.

England continue to be blunted as Jofra Archer searches for swing and seam rather than trying to beat Pakistan's batters with pure pace. Can Joe Root create something? It looks like we're heading to the bouncer ploy.

England have shown Pakistan quite a lot of respect today. They've had a deep point out for a long period, certainly after an initial burst. England have been protecting those runs, but have allowed Pakistan to have those singles. Pakistan have been good at taking those singles and keeping the scoreboard ticking over. It's been good from Pakistan - I've enjoyed watching them play.
