Marcus Rashford breaks silence on talk he wants to play with Lamine Yamal at Barcelona

Marcus Rashford has been quizzed on speculation he could move to Barcelona and play with Lamine Yamal this summer.

The Manchester United outcast is believed to be dreaming of a move to Catalunya even though Nico Williams appears to be the club’s top target.

Rashford is currently in Marbella where he chatted about being in Spain and was asked directly if he’d liked to play with Yamal.

“Sure. Everybody in the world wants to play with the best. Hopefully, we’ll see. It’s difficult to put into words what he’s doing, because you’re not supposed to be doing that at his age. He’s playing at the highest level at 16. This alone is a skill, to have this mentality. It’s not normal to be able to do what he does,” he told xBuyer. “Spain is nice, not too far from home. If I train here for a long time, it’s good, because my family can come and see me for a few days, it’s only a three-hour flight. The weather is nice here.”

The Manchester United star also spoke about his preferred position and says he’s starting to enjoy a central role more than a position on the flank.

“For me as I’ve got older the No. 9 position is becoming more comfortable, more natural, things like, playing with my back to goal is becoming more easy for me,” he added.

It’s still not clear where Rashford will play his football next season, but he certainly still seems keen on a move to Barcelona.
