FASTEST CENTURIES BY PAKISTAN BATTERS IN T20IS

NEW DELHI: Young Pakistan batter Hasan Nawaz etched his name into the history books on Friday, becoming the fastest Pakistani to score a century in T20 Internationals. The 22-year-old right-hander achieved the remarkable milestone in just 44 balls during the third T20I against New Zealand at Eden Park, Auckland.Nawaz’s blistering knock saw him smash 10 fours and 7 towering sixes, showcasing his power-hitting ability in a high-stakes run chase.After being put into bat by Pakistan skipper Salman Agha, New Zealand posted a challenging total of 204.Chasing 205, Pakistan got off to a flying start with an explosive 74-run opening stand. Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris played a fiery knock, scoring 41 off just 20 balls, laced with 4 fours and 3 sixes, before being dismissed.Nawaz, however, took control of the chase and found a solid partner in Agha Salman (51).* The duo dominated the Kiwi bowling attack, remaining unbeaten to guide Pakistan to a commanding 9-wicket victory.
