Is he moving closer to Real Madrid? The real reason why Michael Olise is leaving his mansion in Munich

The summer transfer market usually unleashes all kinds of speculation at the slightest move by an elite footballer. On this occasion, all the alarms around Real Madrid and Bayern Munich went off when it became known that Michael Olise, one of the biggest sensations in European football, is preparing to move imminently in Germany.

Information about the departure of the skillful French attacker from the home he occupied in the Bavarian capital immediately fueled theories about his possible arrival at the Santiago Bernabéu. Various sectors of the international press claimed that the move pointed to a definitive change of scenery with the Spanish capital as his destination.

An eviction with a real estate backdrop

However, the details uncovered by the German newspaper Bild and reported by international outlets such as Goal and Tribuna.com ultimately clarified the real situation behind this move. Far from being an initial agreement with Los Blancos, the true reason for the player's departure is due to a formal request from his landlord.

The owner of the property is none other than Jérôme Boateng, the iconic former Bayern Munich defender and World Cup champion with Germany. The experienced center-back, owner of the sumptuous residence, has stated that he needs the property to be completely vacated in order to proceed with its sale.

According to German sources, Boateng acquired the property in 2016 for a figure close to 7.4 million euros. As of today, after steady appreciation in the exclusive German market, the price of the mansion stands at around 11.5 million euros, having already received several formal purchase offers.

The luxurious Grünwald residence

Olise has been residing in this exclusive estate located in the sought-after area of Grünwald for the past two years. The location was ideal for the forward's daily routine, as it is just a ten-minute drive from Bayern Munich's training facilities.

The property spares no expense when it comes to any kind of amenities or high-end luxuries. Among its many facilities are a state-of-the-art gym, a private cinema room, sauna, jacuzzi, and a spectacular outdoor pool designed for the athlete’s utmost comfort.

Although the eviction will formally take place at the end of this month of August, the Bavarian club’s board has not the slightest intention of parting with its young star. In Munich, they consider Olise a strategic and untouchable pillar for the institution’s sporting project in the short and long term.

The desire of Real Madrid

The interest of Real Madrid in the French international is no secret in the offices of Valdebebas. The dazzling level shown by Olise during the recent 2026 World Cup powerfully caught the attention of the scouting department led by Juni Calafat.

The Merengue board dreamed of pairing the attacker with Kylian Mbappéat the front of Los Blancos' attack. The great understanding and dynamism both showed while wearing Les Bleus' shirt at the World Cup sparked the Real Madrid fans' excitement ahead of the summer transfer window.

However, Bayern's top brass remain inflexible and will not accept any negotiations for the 24-year-old winger. Barring a drastic turn of events before the close of the transfer window, Olise will continue to lead the attack at the Allianz Arena this season.
