The 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), one of the most highly anticipated cricket tournaments globally, is set to begin on March 22 with a grand opening ceremony at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. This marks the 18th season of the tournament, featuring ten franchise teams competing in an electrifying T20 spectacle.The star-studded opening ceremony will feature performances by Bollywood actor Disha Patani , renowned singer Shreya Ghoshal , and Punjabi sensation Karan Aujla.Following the ceremony, defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the tournament's opening match.The IPL 2025 opening ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, March 22.The event will be held at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.The ceremony will begin at 6 PM (IST).The event will be televised live on the Star Sports Network.It will be available for streaming on JioCinema and Hotstar (app/website).
