Irish Grand National 2025: confirmed runners and riders

2
A full field of 30 will contest this year's BoyleSports Irish Grand National (5.00) , with leading ante-post fancies Haiti Couleurs and Better Days Ahead declared for the Easter Monday highlight at Fairyhouse.

The Rebecca Curtis-trained Haiti Couleurs will lead the British raid on the 3m5f contest and bids to complete a Cheltenham Festival and Irish National double, having won the National Hunt Chase last month. That came under Ben Jones, but Britain's champion jockey-elect Sean Bowen takes the ride this time.

Jonjo and AJ O'Neill are set to be double-handed for the British team with Johnnywho (to be ridden by Derek O'Connor) and Hasthing (Brian Hayes), who has snuck into the race in 29th place. They will also form part of a strong team for owner JP McManus, who also has the likes of Bioluminescence (Keith Donoghue) and Sa Majeste (Simon Torrens).

As well as Sa Majeste, champion trainer Willie Mullins also runs Quai De Bourbon, who has failed to complete in Grade 1s at the Cheltenham and Aintree festivals and is the chosen mount of Paul Townend.

Better Days Ahead (Rob James), the Brown Advisory Novices' Chase third, will shoulder top weight of 11st 12lb and leads Gordon Elliott's battalion. Kinturk Kalanisi (Darragh O'Keeffe) takes his place and aims to give Thomas Gibney back-to-back successes after landing it with Intense Raffles a year ago, while Any Second Now is back for more.

The popular 13-year-old was runner-up last year and is the pick of Mark Walsh, JP McManus's number one rider in Ireland. There are currently three reserves in Another Choice, Will Do and Canal End.
