Former British No.1 and six-time Grand Slam semifinalist Tim Henman has been named Team Europe Vice Captain for the Laver Cup, starting with the 2025 edition being held at the iconic Chase Center in San Francisco from 19-21 September.

Henman, one of Britain’s most accomplished tennis players, enjoyed a stellar career marked by 15 ATP titles and a career-high ranking of world No.4.

Known for his serve-and-volley style and remarkable consistency on the grass courts of Wimbledon, Henman remains one of the most respected figures in the sport. Since retiring, he has become a prominent commentator and analyst, providing expert insight into the sport he loves.

Invited by Team Europe Captain Yannick Noah, Henman will take over from Sweden’s Thomas Enqvist who has been Vice Captain of Team Europe since the inaugural Laver Cup in Prague in 2017.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining Team Europe as Vice Captain,” said Henman. “Having watched the Laver Cup as a pundit and seeing first-hand the intensity, the quality of tennis and the passion and interaction between the players on the bench, I know how special this event is.

“Being invited by Yannick to be part of the Laver Cup is a great honour and I’m really looking forward to working alongside him and the team to continue Europe’s winning tradition.”
