Alex Eala set for US Open return after inclusion in entry list

Alexandra "Alex" Eala is set to return to Flushing Meadows after being included in the entry list for the US Open, which will be held from August 30 to September 13.

The Filipina ace joins defending champion Aryna Sabalenka, Elena Rybakina, Jessica Pegula, Coco Gauff, Mirra Andreeva, and Iga Swiatek, among others in the said list.

This will mark Eala's second main draw appearance at the US Open. She made history last year by winning her first Grand Slam main draw match, defeating Clara Tauson.

The US Open will come after Eala competes in the DC Open, the Toronto Open, and the Cincinnati Open during her North American swing.
