In an interesting development, Pakistan's new Test coach, Jason Gillespie, is expected to meet with Waqar Younis, PCB's adviser for cricket affairs, to pick the squad for the upcoming matches against Bangladesh A.

As reported by Cricket Pakistan, Gillespie has landed in Islamabad from Australia, where he was with Pakistan Shaheens for the two unofficial Tests and as many unofficial ODIs against the Bangladesh side.

Pakistan's new Test coach will meet with Younis in a couple of days to select the Shaheens' squad and assess preparations for the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh.

It is understood that Pakistan's much-awaited Test squad for the two Tests against Bangladesh could be picked between August 12-17. It is speculated that players like Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah will be rotated during the course of the series, while the Pakistan white-ball, Babar Azam, captain will be picked.

Nevertheless, the Pakistan Shaheens levelled the two unofficial Test series against Bangladesh at Darwin.

Jason Gillespie will now look at the Shaheens in their camp before he shifts his focus to Men In Green's training camp ahead of the Test series.

Bangladesh will arrive in Pakistan on August 17, and the first Test match between the sides will start on August 21 in Rawalpindi.
