Manchester United have landed a new beer sponsor in the form of Asian brewery giants Tiger Beer.

The sponsorship deal with the Singaporean-based company is reportedly worth £4m per year to the Reds who look to be hinting towards further growing their brand on the continent. Tottenham Hotspur have grown their fanbase in Asia dramatically thanks to their captain Son Heung-min.

While in the 2000s United's image in Asia grew thanks to Park Ji-sung's successful stint at the club, their profile has dipped with results on the pitch worsening and the Reds focusing their pre-season campaigns in the United States. However, this deal perhaps hints at a shift toward growing the Asian fanbase once again.

As part of the deal, United and Tiger Beer have committed to growing the exposure of the club in Asia. A street football programme is due to be set up in Asia which will see United coaches train some of the local talent as well as co-branded watch parties being hosted and giveaways to visit Manchester for an Old Trafford matchday.

Reflecting on the new deal, United's commercial director Florence Lafaye said: "Tiger Beer's dedication to connecting fans globally aligns perfectly with our goal to bring our fanbase closer to the club than ever before. Together, leveraging the power and reach of Tiger Beer, we look forward to creating unique and unforgettable experiences for our fans all around the world, especially those in Asia who are such a vital part of the Manchester United community."

Fans visiting Old Trafford this Saturday for the Premier League clash with Brentford have been told to anticipate the Tiger Beer branding on the LED screens in the concourse prior to kick off.
